Metroquadrato d’infinito

1966–70

Metroquadrato d’infinito originated in 1966 in the sense that it refers to the cubic meter (Metrocubo d’infinito). But this is the square meter—that is, there are two mirrors that are each one meter long. When they are placed facing each other, each square meter of mirror contemplates the other. The Metrocubo d’infinito is a cubic meter because there are six mirrors that create an environment inside. The mirrors of the Metroquadrato d’infinito don’t create an environment because they’re in contact and make a square meter. So, we are dealing with the bi-dimensionality of the square meter.
