Watch Un art autre

Produced in honor of our exhibition in London, Un art autre, this short film that considers the artistic milieu of 1950s Paris. It was against this backdrop that artists including Sam Francis, Joan Mitchell, Jean Paul Riopelle, Pierre Soulages, and Zao Wou-Ki developed a form of abstraction that the art critic and curator Michel Tapié would call “Un art autre.”
