Inside Look: Germano Celant and Michelangelo Pistoletto discuss 'Ileana Sonnabend and Arte Povera'
Take an inside look with Curator Germano Celant and artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, who discuss Ileana Sonnabend and Arte Povera, on view at Lévy Gorvy’s New York gallery through December 23, 2017.
This exhibition, the first to investigate Sonnabend’s central role in the international reception of Arte Povera, is organized in celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the movement’s inception. The exhibition features works by Pistoletto, as well as Giovanni Anselmo, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Jannis Kounellis, Mario Merz, Giulio Paolini, and Gilberto Zorio—most of which were originally displayed at Sonnabend’s New York or Paris galleries.
